Dr. Wood entered the chiropractic profession after experiencing its effectiveness at treating martial arts injuries.  He first experienced chiropractic at the age of 19 during a karate event. He was so impressed by its effectiveness; he began his chiropractic education immediately afterward.

In practice since 1989, he evaluates each patient according to his or her specific needs.  As part of his examination of an athlete, Dr. Wood incorporates state of the art sports biomechanical analyses including Functional Movement Screen, Selective Functional Movement Assessment, Active Release Technique (ART), and gait analysis.  The focus of his patient care is to relieve pain by achieving optimal biomechanics and freedom of movement.
